"WHO IS AFRAID OF RED?", base-level, Vienna, 2010 Painting: pencil, acrylic on canvas, 150 x 110 cm, walls and floor: tapes, length variable.
The painting depicting a woman's body rearing up against red ribbons, ropes - is expanded into the surrounding space with red tapes. The real space is conquered and occupied by the body. The viewers step into the space and into the work at the same time and cannot physically evade it; like the figure depicted, they become part of the work, teammates. In this way, image and space form a new unity, which is specific to the given location, literally tailored to the respective space.
